The Jewish way,
Many people in the modern world have thrown away the basic ways to behave with one another. We need to revive the rules of polite behavior! What do you do in an elevator? How do you talk on the phone? Who do you give preference to the person on the phone, or the one at the door? There are simple and clear rules about these and many other situations. Then there is the imput from Jewish Law, הלכה How do Jews function in these situations?
What these pages will attempt to do is to tease out the correct behavior in a number of situations. This guide is not meant to be exhaustive, or the last word on polite behavior. But a guide to help people in common everyday situations. If everyone could act politely, then the world would be a better place.
I humbly ask the reader to forgive any mistakes that may and probably occur in this work, and to remember that we are all human, but made in the Image of G-d, we can all reach the level of the angels.
Sincerely yours,
